Description of project:
As of mid 2010, MCH received the services of a part time Dietitian and Pharmacist. These positions have added to the depth and resources of the multidiciplinary team and approach that is embedded into the CCC at MCH. The roles have facilitated:

Nutritional assessment and screening of all newly diagnosed patients

Nutritional intervention and support for patients who are nutritionally compromised

Review and monitoring of patients needing nutritional assessment and support - provided within the outpatient setting

Access to an oncology pharmacist 5 days per week within the CCC Outpatient setting

Access to pharmaceutical counselling and advice 5 days per week within the CCC Outpatient setting
